S-150D Digital Sonifier® Cell Disruptor
The Branson range of ultrasonic cell disrupters have been used for biological research applications since 1960. The Sonifier® products have grown into a full line of products and accessories to meet the demanding needs of this rapidly expanding market. Today Branson is a world leader in this technology. Most common applications using sonification include:

Cell disruption to separate cell liquid from membranes and nucleus
Tissue disruption, especially on "difficult tissues" such as muscle,
skin, heart, uterus etc.
Extraction of plasma membrane proteins of plants eg gamma
globulin
Isolating subcellular organels ie chloroplasts, nucleus, mitochondria,
protoplasts and proteins within a few seconds
Emulsifying immiscible liquids. Fat can be emulsified without injuring
tissue
Homogenizing dispersions - conventional homogenising techniques
(15min) can be replaced by about 10 seconds of sonification
Acceleration of chemical and biological reactions increased
significantly by sonification

The new Branson Sonifier S-150D digital ultrasonic cell disrupter is a versatile laboratory tool designed for biological and liquid processing applications. It is particularly suited for smaller samples in size from 200 µl to 100 ml. The high gain 3.2mm microtip included as standard. Its compact size minimizes bench space while the angled front provides visibility and access to the controls. The economical price puts this valuable tool within reach of even the smallest labs. Main features include:

100watts of power at horn tip for difficult tasks
Variable output to match amplitude to specific needs
High visibility LED wattmeter to display output power
Autotuning assures optimal performance at all levels
Continuous and pulsed operation modes for flexibility
Thumb switch on probe for pulsing convenience
Convenient probe/tip cradle built into cabinet
