Important Pricing Information
As you will no doubt be aware, the financial markets are in turmoil and the exchange rates are moving in an unpredictable way. In the case of the UK Pound, we have experienced a change in the USD from $2.05 to $1.47 and in the Euro from €1.55 to €1.17. Indications are that the markets will worsen before they get better.
In addition, we are being informed from some of our suppliers that pricing changes are being implemented due to the higher cost of manufacturing and raw materials.
Therefore, effective immediately, we are left with no option but to suspend some of our existing price lists and request that you confirm with us the current pricing before placing any purchase orders .
We sincerely regret having to implement this strategy, but unfortunately we are left with no choice at the present time. We will re-issue new price lists as soon as possible and hope that before too long things will stabilise or at least become more predictable. If necessary we will re-adjust the price lists up or down as the markets dictate . Naturally in line with the Chancellors recent mini-budget announcement the VAT element of our invoices will be reduced from 17.5% to 15% as from the 1st December which will redress any increases to a welcome extent.
