UV Cabinets
Our PCR cabinets are designed to protect PCR reaction integrity by minimising PCR contamination from any source. These UV cabinets use UV irradiation as an effective steriliser, breaking down DNA sequences so that replication cannot occur in a subsequent amplification process. The UV sterilisation cabinets can be used to provide a contamination free environment for PCR and to sterilise equipment for PCR experiments. UV sterilisation times can be set from 5 to 30 mins. The PCR workstation with HEPA filter gives additional protection by bathing the PCR apparatus in sterile air thus limiting contamination from equipment brought into the otherwise sterile environment. All the PCR workstations detailed feature a UV safety cut out to ensure operator safety. |
